It has been snowing non stop in Moscow for the last 3 days. This wouldn't be as much of a problem if there was anywhere to plow the roads. As you can tell, all the snow is pushed into the center of the street, so making a left hand turn is done at the peril of getting high centered.
By the way we have decided this is the perfect place for Mark and Abby. They fulfil the three major requirements: 1. Like snow 2. have a subaru 3. have a dog.

New Blog
OK, I don't know that we'll get any more exciting than that last post, so we're shutting this blog down.
Ha, just kidding. Kind of.
The problem is twofold. First, Fenton set up this blog, but didn't give anyone else administrative privileges. Therefore, although we can all post, we can't change anything about the blog. This has recently proven to be a major problem, as Mom's account no longer works.
Second, Derrick and Julie are sharing the blog with Mom and Dad (and Sarah and Rocky). Which means that we have to post pictures here, and then mail them out to the Lunds, since they probably don't want to hear about all the crazy things that Mom and Dad are always posting . . . hypothetically speaking, of course.
So this, I think, is a good solution. We'll set up two new blogs: one for Derrick and Julie, and one for Mom, Dad, Sarah, Rocky, and undesirables (I'm thinking of sticking close to the original title--maybe News O' Hughes). We'll give Sam administrative privileges over the main site (and I'll retain them as well).
I'll also look into seeing if there is some way that we can force blogger to update the main site when a post is made on a subsidiary family site, but that's probably not feasible.
Anyway, let me know what you think. Great job commenting on Sarah's post, those of you who did comment. Abby, by the way, we got four inches today too.
Also, let me know if you have any suggestions for naming either blog. Here are some other names that occurred to me for ours:
Fairy Princess Punk Rocker
Lawyer, Author, Princess, Punk
DJCZ
We found this is Zerah's bed the other night. I wonder who could have put it in...

So you're saying you wanna post
Well, not much has happened in Moscow lately. We got another eight inches of snow last night and all the public schools were closed--but not college. Oh yeah, and we found out I'm pregnant. I guess that's all.

Maintenance Warning
Maintenance on this website will soon stop if people fail to make comments. That is the only way we know that anyone is interested.
This warning does not apply to Abby, since she's a great commenter.

Ringtones
Hi Everyone!
I did a little updating of ringtones today, and I know that you're all curious about how you sound when you call me, so I thought I would send out the update.
Dad: Green River (Creedence Clearwater Revival)
Mom: Cold Hungry Blues (Po' Girl) This is always a difficult one for me. For a while Mom was only calling when she needed something, so I changed her ringtone to Help! by the Beatles. Unfortunately, this had the opposite effect that I intended, as she stopped calling me altogether (think text messages for help). So I figured this one, since, had she been born in the South, Mom would have been a natural for the blues. :)
Dan: Patton's Speech to the Third Army (George C. Scott) "Men, all this stuff you've heard about America not wanting to fight - wanting to stay out of the war, is a lot of horse dung. Americans traditionally love to fight. All real Americans love the sting of battle. When you were kids, you all admired the champion marble shooter, the fastest runner, big league ball players, the toughest boxers. Americans love a winner and will not tolerate a loser."
Amy: New York State of Mind (Billy Joel)
Mark and Abby: Georgia on My Mind (Ray Charles) It's been this way for a LONG time, but it's a gorgeous ringtone, so...
Rocky: Keep Fishin' (Weezer)
Sam: Brass Monkey (Beastie Boys)
Hannah and Dallin: Killin' Me Softly (Fugees) Any family member who NEVER calls, or emails, or writes, or makes any effort to communicate, will hereby have this ringtone.
Julie: Dream in Color (Regina Belle)
Just so you know, I take requests...

Mommy the Maid
For our family night activity we were playing basketball in the kids' room with about 15 balls. We were cleaning up when Caelyn dumped all the balls out again, and Derrick scolded her. "It's okay," she said, "Mommy can just clean up my room."

Christmas and Disneyland
Excited about stockings on Christmas morning--almost to the point of climbing in...
On the other hand, this one found a piece of candy in his stocking, and was completely satisfied to leave the rest of the stocking until he had finished the first piece.
One of Caelyn's favorite parts of being at Disneyland was meeting the princesses: Jasmine (pictured), Belle and Mulan; and also seeing others, including her favorite, Aurora. She also got pictures with Tigger and Pooh.*
Also a favorite--getting her face painted to look like a butterfly while her mom was away with Zerah.
Of course, after over 12 hours at the Magic Kingdom, even face paint and excitement can wear off. Here Caelyn is sleeping through a show that included huge flames on the water, incredibly loud cackling, a sixty foot fire breathing dragon, and one of the largest firework show we had ever seen.
* While the kids weren't looking, I swear I saw Pooh mime the money sign (rubbing his finger and thumbs together) and then pound his fist into his other hand. It was pretty shocking. I pity the fool who owes Pooh money.
